HOLIDAY TREE

We will have a tree this year along RMCC’s Trail of Holiday Trees. We need a coordinator for this event. Let Sharon know if you wish to volunteer.

Sign up is Wednesday, November 12. Set up and decorating, November 19-21. Lighting ceremony, Tuesday, December 2. Take down, Monday, January 5, 2009.

SPECIAL ADVENT SERVICES

Advent begins Sunday, November 30. At 5:30 on December 3, 10 and 17, we will hold a healing service. We encourage you to attend these comforting and meaningful services for your health and that of others.

UTO THANK OFFERING

Bring your little blue boxes and offerings and give special thanks for all your blessings on Sunday, November 30. UTO’s vision is to significantly impact the lives of women and children because of Christ’s love. UTO will continue our historic mission to address compelling human need and expand the mission and ministry of the church.

BOOK CLUB

The Second Tuesday Book Club will meet at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, November 11 in the Parish Hall. We will be selecting books to read in 2009. Please list your choices and join us at this important meeting.

BY POPULAR REQUEST

Here is a larruping good recipe for cheesecake that is a breeze to make. Enjoy!

KEKE’S WONDERFUL CHEESECAKE

2 cans crescent rolls (PLAIN, NO BUTTER)

3 8oz bars softened cream cheese

1 cup sugar

1 stick of butter, melted

Spray a 9 x 13 pan with Pam

Open and spread 1 can of crescent rolls into bottom of dish

Mix 3 bars of softened cream cheese with 1 cup of sugar; beat until fluffy

Spread mixture evenly over crescent rolls in dish

Spread the other can of crescent rolls on top of mixture

Pour melted butter over the top

Sprinkle with a little cinnamon and sugar if desired

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Keke says you can also top each piece with pie filling and a blob of Cool Whip just to make it more fattening!
